What’s included

Cabinet Painting & Refinishing the Rhinos way

Kitchen fully masked

Counters, backsplash, appliances and floors sealed off with plastic and paper before any sanding or spraying.

Degrease and sand

Years of cooking grease removed, then surfaces scuffed so primer bonds.

Bonding primer

A primer made for slick cabinet finishes, plus grain filling on oak if you want a smooth look.

Sprayed finish

A hard cabinet-grade enamel sprayed for a smooth, factory-like finish.

Doors and drawers

Doors and drawer fronts finished on both sides.

Hardware

Old hardware reinstalled, or new pulls and hinges installed if you supply them.

New-looking cabinets without a remodel

Cabinet boxes in most Las Vegas homes are perfectly solid. What makes a kitchen look dated is the finish: orange oak, scratched builder white, or a color that was popular fifteen years ago. Painting or refinishing keeps the boxes and doors you already have and changes the look completely, for a fraction of the cost and time of replacing them.

Cabinet painting is precise work. A wall can hide a brush mark; a cabinet door cannot. We degrease every surface, sand, use a bonding primer and spray a hard enamel so the finish is smooth and holds up to daily use.

Popular looks in Las Vegas kitchens

  • Oak to white or off-white. The most requested change, and the biggest visual difference.
  • Two-tone. Light perimeter cabinets with a dark or colored island.
  • Black or charcoal islands. A bold anchor in an open kitchen.
  • Stain refresh. If you love wood, we can also stain and seal cabinets.

Bathroom vanities and built-ins

The same process works on bathroom vanities, laundry cabinets, entertainment centers and built-in shelving. Adding vanities to a kitchen job is an easy way to make the whole house feel updated.

FAQ

Cabinet Painting & Refinishing FAQ

Is painting cabinets cheaper than replacing them?

Yes, by a wide margin. Painting or refinishing usually costs a small fraction of new cabinets and skips the demolition, countertop risk and weeks without a kitchen.

How long does cabinet painting take?

Most kitchens take about four to seven working days, including prep, primer, finish coats and cure time before reassembly.

Will painted cabinets chip?

Properly prepped cabinets with a bonding primer and cabinet-grade enamel are very durable. The finish keeps hardening for a few weeks, so we will tell you how to treat them gently while they cure.

Can I use my kitchen during the job?

Partly. The cabinets and counters are covered while we work, but most families keep using the fridge and microwave. We will plan the schedule around you.
